It takes good hearing aids fitted and maintained by an adequately skilled and genuinely committed specialist and fitted to a patient who is willing to communicate their ongoing needs to the specialist that he or she might maintain their optimal hearing.
There are thousands of hearing aids sitting in drawers everywhere because someone “tried” them and didn’t have a good experience. This can be because (1) the person fitting the aids didn’t invest enough time and attention to the process, or (2) the patient wasn’t willing to make the investment of time and effort to realize the best experience.
