How Much Do Hearing Aids Cost?
Many people have heard shared stories with us about spending several thousand dollars on a pair of hearing aids, only to be discouraged because they discovered (1) they vastly over-paid, (2) they didn’t receive the hearing benefit they thought they would (see Step 2), or (3) they thought that their purchase was going to be X dollars and it turned out to be X+Y+Z dollars! Conversely, we’ve heard from patients who thought they’d save money by trying something extremely inexpensive, only to be discouraged and disappointed with the final product and experience.
But that doesn’t answer the question, does it? Quality hearing aids are expensive. There is a great deal of time, research, development, and expense that goes into creating a tiny device that processes millions of bits of information per second before communicating that to your ear. With that in mind, you don’t want something that simply amplifies, and you shouldn’t settle for something that isn’t accompanied by dedicated local service to help program and maintain it.
In terms of actual cost, however, our hearing aids typically will average about $2,300 a pair, with some being a little less, and some being more. For context, however, if you were to spend that much money with us, that same exact pair of hearing aids would typically cost $600 – $1,000 more anywhere else in the area; and the savings would only increase as you got closer to the top-level technology and features.
Also remember that discounted prices don’t mean discounted quality (we compare apples to apples), discounted services, or discounted features. We simply sell for less instead of gouging patients.
